With the re-authorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (No Child Left Behind) happening now in Congress, it is critical that stakeholders directly impacted by reforms in the public education system make sure that our?representatives are listening to us.

The Southeastern PA Education Summit is a regional event that will bring together  key elected officials at the state and national levels with organized communities and committed stakeholders to define an agenda for ESEA re-authorization as well as other federal and national public education priorities.  Issues to be addressed include resource equity, school discipline policies, testing and assessment, college and career readiness, and others.

Alliance for Educational Justice

The Alliance for Educational Justice (AEJ) is a national alliance of youth organizing and inter-generational groups working for educational justice.  AEJ aims to bring grassroots groups together to bring about changes in federal education policy, build a national infrastructure for the education justice sector, and build the capacity of our organizations and our youth leaders to sustain and grow the progressive movement over the long haul.
