"Philadelphia has been instrumental in creating more of an activist gaze for me and also grounding me as an artist...  We are supposed to feel isolated and fragmented from one another based on difference, based on class. I mean, that' why, Martin Luther King' Poor People' Movement was so important, something to study and look at."
