Pottstown Memorial Medical Center Employees United for Respect

Healthcare workers at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center have been  trying for months to bargain a contract.
The workers are united in calling on CHS, the national for-profit company
that owns their community hospital, to come to the bargaining table,
negotiate in good faith and obey the law.
The caregivers at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center
have dedicated their lives to their patients and their community.  They
are the reason that the hospital has been such a success over the years.
However, Community Health Systems have not been
bargaining in good faith.  It has been nearly three months since the
PMMC workers' contract expired.  Because CHS has continued to bargain
in bad faith, the workers at PMMC are preparing for a three day strike
over unfair labor practices and filed charges with the labor board to
get CHS to stop violating federal labor law.
PMMC workers do not want to strike, but they are
united to do whatever it takes to stand up for their rights.  They are
united for their patients and their community.  And the community is
united with them.
