First of all, thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting Media Mobilizing Project. You make our work possible and we’re so glad you are part of our community. Soon we’ll know the results of the 2016 presidential election. No matter who wins on November 8th, those with the most money will still have the most […]
We need your help to visit at least 20 cities and towns on a summer tour. Grassroots organizers, potential organizers, and members of the extended community working on different issues need to see this film and they need to see it together. That’s what Groundwork is all about — how our struggles are interconnected and how we can stand up together.
It’s our birthday! For 10 years, Media Mobilizing Project has made media to build a movement for social & economic justice. We have trained organizers to be media makers and media makers to be organizers. Right now we are leading a fight against media-giant Comcast to win affordable internet for low-income families. We are fighting privatization of our public schools. And we are telling untold stories of everyday heroes fighting back against poverty and injustice.
We’re kicking off a year-long celebration of MMP’s work and network over the past 10 years. Join us Saturday October 3, 2015, 1-4pm at the Carriage House – 3907 Spruce Street. Featuring media screening, food, games, music, story-collecting, photo booth, mmp history, program updates and more. It will be great for kids!
MMP Co-Founder Todd Wolfson recently released Digital Rebellion: The Birth of the Cyber Left. We think it’s a great book and we want you to read it. Become a sustainer or increase your monthly contribution today and we’ll send you a signed copy.
A group of anonymous donors has generously agreed to match each dollar raised during our year-end campaign up to $10,000! That means your gift today of $50 becomes $100, $100 becomes $200, and so on. Please, consider making a gift today.
We are so excited to announce that MMP’s sustainer program has been featured in the latest issue of the Grassroots Fundraising Journal in an article written by Kristin Campbell and Allison Budschalow called, “Building People-Powered Organizations Through Sustainership.”
We launched a monthly sustainer program in 2010 because we understood that in order to sustain this vital movement media organization, we need to build a base of grassroots donors who believe in the role of media and communications in building the power of our movements.
MMP has $10,000 left to raise in the next two weeks to meet our 2012 grassroots fundraising goal. “Grassroots fundraising” is the money we raise with and from you – and it is the most valuable income MMP has. If you haven’t already, please donate $1000, $500, $250, $100 or $50 today.
Nearly seven years ago Media Mobilizing Project began with the vision of knitting together the stories of those working to build a movement to end poverty.
Today we are launching a new website redesigned from the ground up to better tell your story and our stories as we come together.
