Media Mobilizing Project is an internationally recognized leader fighting for the right of everyone to get online. In Philadelphia, one of the largest cities in the United States, we have the third worst broadband access – because so many of our community members are poor. Through organizing in Philadelphia, in cities nationwide, and nationally, we push big media to expand affordable, secure, high speed internet access to all. We also conduct regular digital inclusion workshops and trainings for low income community members – providing basic access to computers and computer skills, all the way to high end digital media production and editing. We were proud to have helped the City of Philadelphia secure and execute a multi-million dollar federal grant to expand affordable internet access and adoption in Philadelphia – the KEYSPOTS program.
