MMP’s newly launched Movement Media Fellows program is building a new generation of movement media makers dedicated to telling the untold stories of today’s struggles. Our 2014 cohort includes over a dozen local independent media makers and journalists, labor and immigration organizers, writers, photographers, students, and teachers, who are working together to produce multimedia stories documenting local and statewide struggles. Their work will culminate in the launch of MMP’s spring television season airing in May and June of 2014.
At a recent kickoff retreat, Movement Media Fellows and other MMP leaders strategized about what it means to be a movement media maker, share experiences, and geared up for a busy spring. Check out photos from the retreat and stay tuned for more from our 2014 Movement Media Fellows!
